31DC2015: Red Nails, a unicorn and dinosaurs

I took part in the 31 day challenge a little while back and though I posted it on Instagram daily, I realise I didn't post it on my blog, so here goes! I had a blast doing this challenge, and even fitted in a few extra designs in between.

The first day's prompt was red nails. I had tonnes of reds in my collection, but decided to go for this true red from Topshop. I only needed one coat for it to be opaque, which is always a plus.

I then went for the Origami stamping plate number 5 from MoYou London for the design. I love the little dinosaurs and unicorn on this plate! And I think it turned out really well here.

What do you think of it?

Poppy Daisy jewelled headpiece

It's been a busy few days, with Christmas, Boxing Day sales, and a family party at our house. We had all our relatives over for some food, drink and games and lots of fun! I wore a new dress I had made for Christmas - a dark green velvet dress which I adored and not too bad for a first attempt! To compliment it I wore this jewelled headpiece from Poppy Daisy.
I actually got this a few years ago when the brand were at the Clothes Show, wrapped it up carefully and then never found it again, until the other day when I went through an old  suitcase and found it in pristine condition. It's what I had wanted to wear for Christmas so it was perfect timing!

I can't find the exact headpiece, but they do have this similar one on their website. Mine is made up of multiple single bands, which I piled on top of each other to create a layered effect and I love it. My sister did say I looked like a fairy/ pixie!
My mum got me this fur cape, which went beautifully with my velvet dress and was super warm.
Hope you are all having a fabulous time with your families and enjoying your break. x

Christmas nails - Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Green Berry

How was your Christmas? If it was anything like mine you would have eaten loads and soon after gone into a food coma while watching TV and playing games with the family. I did my nails super early, so I thought I would show you how I did them.

I did a base in green using Barry M's Gelly Hi Shine in Green Berry. I then used a silver from W7 to stamp a pattern from MoYou London's Mandala 3 plate. It's my favourite from the collection, and on this occasion I chose it as the design looks a little like a snow flake.

Hope you had a lovely day and are enjoying time with your family and friends. xxx
