Nivea Sun Protect range

As Baz Luhrmann said in the opening lines of his song Everybody's free (to wear sunscreen):

"Wear sunscreen,
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it.
The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists.."

I couldn't have put it better myself. Nivea Sun says we shouldn't just wear an appropriate SPF when on holiday, but it should be worn when going out in the sun during your normal daily routine.

I'm lax when it comes to sunscreen, and tend to only wear it mainly in my moisturiser and foundation with added SPF. I usually stock up on sunscreen when it's especially sunny or when going on holiday, but I am going to make an extra special effort to use it more often after attending the Nivea Sun UV event recently where I had my skin looked at under a UV camera to see how protected it was. Luckily it came out well with little sun damage, phew! But that is mainly down to the SPF already in my foundation and avoiding direct sunlight (sidenote, it gives me headaches). But looking at the UV pictures made me want to take extra care of my skin.
Nivea Sun's research showed that 1 in 3 people say that they burn every time they go out in the sun, the main reason being that they miss parts of the body when applying sun protection.

So on to some of the products. Nivea has launched its new Sun Protect and Bronze Tan Activating Oil and Tan Prolonging After Sun Lotion. The oil incorporates active ingredient pro melanin into a sunscreen formula, which Nivea says supports the skin's natural tanning process. It's light, non-greasy and water-resistant. The lotion also supports the skin's natural tanning process and helps maintain a tan for longer.
The Sun Protect & Refresh Refreshing Sun Spray gives the skin a cooling feel. As it’s a spray it’s easy to apply and leaves no white marks.

Also in the range are the Sun Protect & Moisture products which protect immediately and give long-lasting moisture. They have the Sun Protect & Moisture Sun Lotion, which is the formula I usually go for.
The Protect & Sensitive range is also available for kids and offers the protection would expect as well as being water-resistant. The Sun Protect & Sensitive Sun Lotion has soothing Aloe Vera, which is good for its calming and moisturising properties
And lastly, we have the After Sun range. There’s the In-Shower Refreshing Soothing Lotion. It has cucumber in it and smells refreshing. You can use it as a way to soothe the skin after you have been out in the sun, followed by the After Sun Moisture lotion, which also has Aloe Vera.
So there's your lot. Let me know what you think of the range and what you usually go for when you are out in the sun.
The full Suncare range is available from Nivea.
