MUA Spring Break Collection

A little while ago I went to MUA HQ for the launch of their Spring Break Collection. I've since picked up a few extra bits when the range went into Superdrug, in particular the Spring Break palette (£4).

Just looking at the colours above I'm feeling like I want the sun to permanently stay! The palette is a beautiful collection of neutrals, pinks and soft green. With my colouring I tend to stay away from light colours unless I am using them as highlighters or in the inner corners of my eyes. But I particularly liked the colours in this palette. The deeper purple in the bottom right is what I would usually gravitate towards, and to be honest I would use that the most smoked out in the crease of the eye and to line the eyes. The lighter colours I would use as a highlight along side the smokey colour and on the middle of my eye lid.
Also in the range are these beautiful whipped velvet lip glosses (£3). I have a couple of others in a darker pink and red that I've been wearing on nights out and I wear the lighter ones during the day for work. I love the formula, which is moisturising and quite light on the lips. The colours also accompany a range of Whipped Velvet Blushes which are exact matches if you want to be co-ordinated.

I'm looking forward to trying the Sweet Sheen Lip Balm (£2) which I only picked up this week. I have it in the shade Cherry Bomb, which is a red with a pink undertone. It is a balm which goes on quite sheer with one swipe but is buildable in colour to give a just bitten red colour that also leaves the lips super moisturised. I'm enjoying wearing this at the moment.

And lastly with the lips is the Pout Prime Lip Primer (£3), which I've tried out a few times and it creates a smooth base to help keep your lip colour lasting longer. And I've also got a nail polish in the shade Posy (£1) - the perfect baby pink for spring.

The Spring Break Collection is available online here. Have you tried anything from this collection? What's your favourite so far?
