I don't know about you but there's nothing more refreshing than an ice-cold smoothie on a hot day. Though I'm dreaming of the warmer weather to hit our shores I thought I would share you a recipe for today's food Friday post that we made when it was a little hotter. We had this indulgent strawberry smoothie topped with ice cream, and it was truly delicious!
A punnet of strawberries hulled
a handful of ice crushed ice cubes
500ml of semi-skimmed milk
1 cup of natural yoghurt
Whiz it together in a blender until it's thick and pour it into glasses. We then topped with strawberry ice cream - yum!
You can change it up by using soya or almond milk for vegan options and different flavour ice creams. Vanilla works well and makes it taste creamier.
