Nailmas Day 24 - Christmas Jumper

Day 24 of Nailmas! And I've done some nails to match my Christmas jumper that I wore today.

Nailmas Day 23 - Elf

For today's nails I went for an elf look with a twist. I saw a similar look from PackAPunch Polish on Youtube and adapted it so the elf suit was more shiny and sparkly - it is Christmas after all!

Nailmas Day 22 - Wreath nails

For today's nails I wanted to try out a wreath design and use some of the caviar beads I got in my Ciate Advent Calendar.

Nailmas Day 21 - Rudolph nails

Today I've gone for Rudolph nails! I'm quite pleased with them as they turned out better than I expected them to. I wanted a neutral background so used Beauty UK's Lets Hit the Peach as a base. The consistency is quite thin so I used three coats to get an even covering.

Nailmas Day 20 - Nail Art Foil from Sparklynails

Hello all! I hope you are having a great weekend. I had an interesting morning going to a TV studio to talk through a possible opportunity that's coming up in January. I can't say too much about it at the moment, but will keep you posted.

Nailmas Day 19 - Kiko Duo Chrome pink

For today's nails I went a bit mad with my dotting tool again! I wanted to go for a less festive pink colour so dug out this Kiko Duo Chrome pink, which doesn't seem to have a name but has the number 397 on it. I did one coat of this before adding the green dots in Nails Inc Holly Walk.

Nailmas Day 18 - Red - Topshop Lacquered

Today my nails got chopped off. I broke one nail and decided they all had to go, but now I really miss them being long, never happy! But I did get my dotting tools through the post today which I was happy about as I have lost my two biggest tools I had in a previous pack. I tested them out on this mani.

Nailmas Day 17 - Glitter gold stripes

Today's look is all about the striping tape - and boy did I have problems with this one! I had to experiment a couple of times as every time I took the tape off the top layer would muck up the gold lines. Anyway, I think we got there in the end, so let's have a closer look at it.

Nailmas Day 16 - Festive Dotticure

I love a dotticure manicure, and haven't done one so far as I have lost my dotting tools :( So while I wait for the ones I've ordered to come I improvised using the bottom of my nail art brush for these - I think they've worked out alright. I wanted to go for a festive look using different shades of green and reds, unfortunately, the colours, which looked quite different shades in real life, look quite similar in these pictures, never mind. I'm always learning, and when I do it again I know how to improve it.

Nailmas Day 15 - Christmas Baubles

It's getting closer to Christmas and I'm getting more excited! I met up with my friends in Wales over the weekend as it was probably the last time we will get to see each other before Christmas. We swapped presents, had a good gossip and a catch up and had cocktails - mocktails for me.  So I did these nails before I went away.

Nailmas Day 14 - Frosted Gold

Today's Nailmas look is this gorgeous matte gold look - Gosh's Frosted Gold. I got this a few weeks ago and have been using any excuse to paint my nails with it. It is an unusual texture as it feels like sand on the nail but is made of packed together gold which is shiny and matte in one.

Nailmas Day 13 - Do you want to build a snowman?

I love this mani for being so simple yet Wintery. This weekend is meant to be really cold and blustery in the UK and some parts of Scotland have had snow in the week, so I thought it was time to do a snowman mani for today. I went for alternate designs of snowmen and their faces and I think it looks cute.

Nailmas Day 12 - Oh Christmas Tree

It's Day 12 and can you believe this is my first Christmas tree mani! If you saw my Instagram a few days ago (Safiraali) you would have seen that I have acquired quite a few polishes on a recent shopping trip. I bought some Model's Own polishes in the 6 for £20 offer, some LA Colors in some browns I had missing from my collection and a Barry M glitter I can't wait to use in one of my posts coming up. The Barry M ones are available in either a gold glitter, which I got, or a festive green and red one that I am wanting to go back for, if you spend £6 on Barry M in Superdrug at the moment. And on the way home Asif surprised me with another bag from Model's Own! He got me some scented pastel polishes and the Hyper Gel topcoat as a gift as he had been called into work last minute :(

Nailmas Day 11 - Gift Wrapped

How is your present wrapping going? I've wrapped a couple of presents so far for early gifts to give to friends as we won't be able to meet again before Christmas. While wrapping, I thought this will make a great nail design! I wanted to do each nail a different colour so went for this from thumb to little finger:

Nailmas Day 10 - Ciate Fit For A Queen

Today's nail look is using another one of the nail polishes I got from my Ciate Advent Calendar - this time Fit For A Queen - a super shiny silver foil colour. I'm so impressed with the coverage that I can't wait to use it again. I used two coats for this look and waited until it was completely dry before adding striping tape in a 'v' shape. I then filled in the bottom two thirds with Bourjois Rouge Diva - a deep red colour.

Nailmas Day 9 - Festive waterfall

So for today's look I was feeling red and greens so raided my collection to see what I could find to go with it. I went for a Waterfall design to showcase the colours best and I love how it's turned out.
I painted the base using Rimmel's Block Your Green. I was quite generous with it and only needed one coat of this. Over it I used Rio nail art pens in a maroon shade and a silver, which has come out quite sheer.

Nailmas Day 8 - Snowflakes

Hey guys! It's Day 8 and I am still going strong! This must be the longest I have continued blogging on the trot, so happy days. For this nail look I wanted to use one of the polishes I got in my Ciate Advent Calendar, and this time around it was this beautiful lilac shade Sugar Plum. I thought for a while what to do with it and decided to apply it over Ciate's Snow Virgin - which is becoming my favourite go to white blank canvas colour. I really wanted to use sponges to build up the colour, but couldn't find mine, so tried to make do with some disposable eyeshadow applicators. I adore Sugar Plum and I am already planning what design I can use it on next.

Nailmas Day 7 - Candy Canes

Happy Sunday all! I've had a super chilled out day catching up on Youtube videos, watching X Factor, cooking and now painting my nails for tomorrow's post. Today's one is candy canes! I've been excited to show you this one as it's my favourite Nailmas post so far! It's also my third attempt doing this design. I first tried it with striping tape, attempting to do thick stripes - didn't work. Then I tried it freehand painting the stripes with the polish brush - didn't work. I finally decided I needed some patience to get this look right and sat down with some striping tape ready for the long haul.

Nailmas Day 6 - Barry M Atlantis

Hello all! I'm slightly past midnight with this post, but only slightly, so it still counts as Day 6. I have some sparkly nails for you today and an easy way to jazz up any nail polish colour. Last month I got Marlyebone Mews from Nail Inc free with a Glamour magazine. It is a beautiful grey that looks gorgeous on it's own. On this occasion I wanted to add a bit of sparkle to it - it is December after all!

Nailmas Day 5 - Pomander nails

For today's look it may not lonk Christmassy at first glance, but I went for a Pomander inspired design. The Ciate Advent Calendar colour I got was this gorgeous orange shade called Hopscotch, and not being able to think of anything using orange, Asif said to do a Pomander - so I did! The Hopscotch colour looks more red/orange here in these pictures with the flash. So I will try to upload one later without the flash.

Nailmas Day 4 - Penguins of Madagascar

Hey guys! I currently planning Asif's birthday tomorrow and I must be more excited than him! I have a few things planned for tomorrow and during the week, so fun times ahead fingers crossed. For today's #Nailmas post I have for you these cute little penguins that I've based on the Penguins of Madagascar - and I quite like them!

Nailmas Day 3 - Snowfall

Welcome back for Day 3 of my #Nailmas challenge! Today's look is all about the snow. As I am out tonight for dinner and will not have had time to come home and open my Ciate Advent calendar, I decided to show you a pre-planned festive look I had for you. I was so excited to use one of Gosh's new polishes from their latest range called Million Stars, which is a beautiful blue-grey with specks of purple and green dust in it.

Nailmas Day 2 - Ciate Snow Globe

Hello all! Do you ever paint your nails, and then straight away want to take it off as you have thought of another look for your nails? That's how I am feeling today, and it just so happens that I have another look for you! I got a Ciate Mini Month Calendar after advice from Aysh and Joanna who both said they were stocked in TK Maxx. So after work today I hot footed it there and found a bunch of calendars to choose from. Handily there is a selection of some of the polishes you will get inside on the back of the box, so I had an idea of what would be inside, and I chose the one I liked the look of. Another one had a base and top coat - and I have plenty of those, so would prefer different colours instead.

Nailmas Day 1 - leather and lace

Happy December! It's the most festive time of the year and it's officially ok to start playing Christmas songs! The downside is it starts feeling like holiday time already - not good when you still have three weeks of work before Christmas. To get me through the month I wanted to challenge myself to a month of festive nails. I'm planning to try out festive designs, colours and lots of glitters to help with the build up to the 25th.
