Hello all! I'm slightly past midnight with this post, but only slightly, so it still counts as Day 6. I have some sparkly nails for you today and an easy way to jazz up any nail polish colour. Last month I got Marlyebone Mews from Nail Inc free with a Glamour magazine. It is a beautiful grey that looks gorgeous on it's own. On this occasion I wanted to add a bit of sparkle to it - it is December after all!
Forgoing my usual glitters, I opted for Barry M's Atlanis, a topcoat with glitters and foils in strips, diamond shapes and hexagons. I applied about two generous coats and tried to get as many of the foil strips out as possible. They do look quite packed together here, and I had to be careful so that no pieces were sticking up and could catch on anything, but you could minimise this by adding a clear top coat to smooth it down.
I really like the look, and it just shows how a seemingly plain grey colour can be transformed. What do you think of it? Let me know if you are doing any festive designs or challenges by linking below.
