New: Gosh Spring/ Summer 2014

I was super excited to go to the launch of Gosh's new spring/summer 2014 collection and check out their new range of colours. The emphasis, as you will see in the pictures, is very much on colour - brights in particular - but also texture.

The lipsticks have a matte finish to them, while the lip lacquers have a glossy finish. The nail polishes, which I will swatch in a separate post, have a glitter matte finish, and I love the creamy blendable eyeshadow pencils.
Let's have a closer look at the collection in detail:
First up is this quartet of lacquers (there's eight available) - now I will freely admit I thought these were polishes when I first saw them, but pretty nifty if you want to wear similar colours for your lips and nail colour - why not?
It's no coincidence they are glossy and ultra moisturising as they have that magic ingredient, Argan oil and vitamin E in them. I have been wearing these in work, and aside from how cute they look on my desk, and the colours, I found they lasted well, my lips didn't need topping up as often as usual, and even after the lacquer had long gone, there was still a colour stain left on the lips. These get a thumbs up from me.
Next up are these beauties - the Velvet Touch Lipstick.  I have these five colours to show you, (there are eight in the range). In the bullet they look ultra bright, and I have swatched them so the colour is shown well. If you only want a wash of colour, use a balm underneath and swipe these over. I love the matte, creamy look to them, they are moisturising and contain vitamin E too. I'm loving the range.
Now on to these, that I can see you eyeing up. They are the Forever Eyeshadow Sticks. There's eight in this range too, but I have four to show you above. I adore the darker of the four Grey, hey I am a smokey eye girl at heart, so this would be my go-to colour. The other three are beautiful for a wash of colour, or to go with a smokey eye, but my ultimate favourite is the green, which I will be hotfooting it to a Superdrug store for. It has a rich emerald colour, which anyone with brown eyes will know is the perfect accompaniment. I have been wearing as shadows, and using to line my upper and lower lashes too.
Here is the Frosted Nail Lacquer, and aren't they beautiful?! I have been wearing these on my nails all week and have been getting compliments on the colour and finish. They have a sandy finish to them with silver flecks, very pretty. There's five colours in the range.
And lastly, we have the Prime'n Set Primer and Mattifying Setting Powder. I have only used this a couple of times as my skin has been fairly dry recently, but I am looking forward to making more use of it in the summer. It aims to minimise pores, fine lines, redness and imperfections. Just pop on top of your makeup to finish it off and keep it locked in.

So there you have it. What do you think of the range and what is your favourite?
