The make-up seen here was for a traditional mehndi event of a friend of my family's. The downside to living in London is that I am so far from family and when there are parties that fall on a Friday night I either miss out or get there towards the end of it if travelling from London to Wales after work. On the day in question I made my way up after work, and decided to use my time wisely by getting ready on the train. Now, I'm afraid the picture above was taken at the end of the night, so wasn't the best view of the make-up before the event, but it stayed put long enough for me to take a photo.
I used my Inglot palette with varying shades of green, dark in the outer corners, and lighter in the inner corners. I loved the look and how intense the colours were. I used the 24-7 black eyeliner in my waterline and mascara from Urban Decay and Inglot gel eyeliner in black for the top lid.
For my hair, as I couldn't straighten it on the train, and was going straight to the event I decided to backcomb the top of it and pin the top of it back. I took a quick snap below as I waited for a taxi.
