Review: MUA Cosmetics 3 in 1 Extreme Contour liner
A couple of weeks ago I went to the launch of MUA Cosmetics collaboration with Love Hearts in time for Valentine's Day. I promised you some reviews of products, and after trying out my favourite from the collection here is the first one.
I have been trying to find these 3 in 1 Extreme Contour Liners in the shops ever since they were launched but failed miserably, so when I had the chance to try them out I jumped for joy! I was lucky enough to receive Fresh Mint, Dark Brown and Gun Metal. As you can see from the pictures they come in sleek black matte packaging which looks very expensive. The actual liner is a rectangle point with the aim of being usable in three ways - with the point, with a thin line, and as a flat rectangle to fill colour.
The first point I have to make is that the crayons are ultra smooth. The aim is that they do not drag on the eye area, and I had no problem with this. They glided on really well and were highly pigmented.
Secondly, I used the colours as eyeliners, but also used them as eyeshadows and blended them into the lid area. The first time I tried this it collected unattractively in the crease area within an hour- not a good area. So the second time I used it with an eyeshadow primer underneath, and it really helped keep the colour in place, without it collecting in the crease area - definitely woth investing in a primer to get this use out of it.
When I first opened the Gun Metal liner I thought it was a grey/purple colour, and not one I would use as a liner, but once used it does come out darker, and works lovely alone to line the eyes. This collection was the most anticipated by me, and I am very pleased to finally have these! Have you tried them? What do you think of them?
