Week review - week 1

My weekly review is a little late, because frankly I have been so busy. But I'm here now. Last week I started my new diet, and also started back at the gym. I probably hadn't been for about four months, but it felt good to go back and get back into the swing of it. I have lost two pounds in a week, which I'm happy about, but would like to keep it up. I plan to also take up some spinning and Zumba classes at my gym, just to mix it up a little as I get bored easily.
You may have noticed I got a blog redesign lately! I am very happy with it, thank you Faye! I wanted something a little bit different and she definitely delivered. Let me know your thoughts on it.

In other news I am trying to make the most of London while I am still here. I have been living in London for 18 months, but you never know what the future holds. Winter makes me a bit too comfortable, and I like exploring and getting out. My favourite time to do this is in the summer, when it's warmer and longer nights. But I will persevere and make the most of it now. On Saturday I went to Harrods, Covent Garden and Leicester Square. On Sunday I went to Island Gardens, Canary Wharf and West India Quay. I was sightseeing, shopping and testing out my camera. I am trying to get some iconic shots of London to make into prints for my walls. If you can think of any I should visit then let me know.

Things are gearing up for my wedding. A lot of the stuff is booked and ready. I spent a lot of time over Christmas and New Year's sorting it out. I still have invitations to sort, which I plan to do this weekend. This time is makign me feel very philosophical and assessing a lot of things in my life and future. I do have some big things happening, which I am very excited about, and think will shock some people, but I want to keep it under wraps for now until it is definite.

  1. I'm finding it hard to get back into healthy eating after Christmas, I keep being tempted by leftover chocolates/biscuits! I got zumba for the wii for Christmas so I'm hoping that will help me get going with exercising again!
    I love London, just wandering around doing nothing in particular and discovering new places is a great way to spend a day. I hope to move there later this year! x

  2. Normally I do find it difficult after Christmas, but my motivation is that the wedding is three months away, so unfortunately I can't slack! I got rid of all my chocolates and gave them to my family. I just have one Hotel Chocolat bar I am saving til after the wedding as a treat!
    And yes you are right, it is easy just to wander around and discover something new in London. Asif says each stop on the Underground is like a little village in itself with its own character, so it is fun to explore different ones each time.
    Where are you thinking of moving to?

  3. One of my friends is getting married in the summer so I'm using that as my motivation thinking I'll need to get a new dress in the next few months for it!
    Ideally I'd like to move to Clapham or nearby as I have a few friends living round there and visit quite regularly so have got to know the area. x

  4. It's always good to have a motivation to focus on. It keeps you going.
    I have never been to Clapham. I live in east London near Stratford, but as you aleady know the area and have friends there it should be an easy transition.
