Review: Dove Express Treatment Conditioner

I hate London water. It makes my already naturally frizzy hair brittle and dry. Not a good look. I have looked for treatments and changed my shampoo and conditioner numerous times over the past 18 months in an attempt to make my hair more hydrated, but they haven't made my hair feel the way I wanted it to be like. This conditioner has been out a while but I wanted to share my thoughts on it with you. Marie Claire magazine gave a sample of this Dove Express Treatment Conditioner a few months ago and I thought it was like magic in a bottle!
I love using it and it really does leave my hair feeling hydrated in a way no conditioner or hair treatment has. When the sample ran out I was gutted because I couldn't find the conditioner anywhere in the shops. But a couple of weeks ago I came across it in my local Boots and I have been in Hair Heaven since!
The treatment has two parts to it - a white stripe, which is the conditioner - and a gold/yellow stripe, which has the 'magic' oil in it. I have tried a few deep conditioners and none have come close to it for my hair, so it rates very highly for me. Have you tried it? And what do you think of it? If you have tried it let me know what type of hair you have and if you noticed a big difference by using it.

  1. Oh wow this sounds fantastic, might have to give it a try. How much was it in boots? I have naturally frizzy hair, I like to use Aussie's 3 minute miracle!

  5. @Marie - You should give it a try. It is a big bottle and I got it for £3.36. I need to try Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle. I have a sample somewhere.

@Discovering Beauty - defo dig out the sample. For my hair type it left it feeling more soft and frizz free, and I styled it straight. I'm not sure how it would be if I left it curly, so maybe you can let me know how you get on.

@Victoria - it is a good price isn't it! I do love it as you can use it as a conditioner but it has the powers of a treatment!

@Cherry Lane - you should try it. It has oil in it, so it might help. Let me know how you get on with it.

  7. I used to use the shampoos and conditioners before, but never really appreciated them and stopped using them. Think I will start using them again with this one. Might help it along.
