Fancy a peek at next year's up and coming fashions? Well if you get yourself down to the exhibition at London Fashion Week from September 16 to 19, you will be able to see as many of the latest accessories, jewellery and ready-to-wear labels you can feast your eyes on! It's Christmas come early in this fashionista's delight as 202 established and emerging designers will be showcasing their spring/summer 2012 collections.
A massive 74 designers will be new to London Fashion Week so expect to see lots of new up-and-coming pieces.
It will be based at Somerset House and span over four floors. And as an extra treat for the first time there will also be a menswear section - so drag your boyrfriends along for the ultimate shopping experience! Or just to carry your bags.Menswear designers will include Nerthold, Casette Playa, Katie Eary, Rose and Rose and William Richard Green.
Some of the newest exhibitors include J Brand with their new ready-to-wear collection. It is the first chance for people to buy.
Other new designers luxury handbag desiner Jerome Dreyfuss and Howard London - a new label inspired by luxury living.
Accessory brands will be showcasing their work at the Terrace Rooms at Somerset House. These include A-Morir, Eddie Borgio, Fleet Ilya, Jennifer Behr, Melanie Georgacopoulos and Swash.
One of the highlights will be the recipients of the British Fashion Council/Elle Talent Launch Pad award - these are Claudie Catzeflis, Saloni, Sophie Hulme and Vassilisa - who will be showcasing their collections. They were announced by Elle magazine this month and will receive support to develop their businesses and grow their relationship with retailers.
Caroline Rush, chief executive of the British Fashion Council, said: “The exhibition offers media and buyers the most comprehensive and exciting edited collection of British design talent that’s available for spring/summer 2012, all in one location at Somerset House.
"This season we’ve welcomed back returning exhibitors, taken on new talent, and created a dedicated menswear collective for the first time to provide the best possible selection of London’s brands.”
The exhibition at London Fashion Week will be open from 10am to 7pm from September 16 to 19, and 10am to 6pm Tuesday, September 20.
