31DC2015 Blue nails and white lace

Is there anything more satisfying than thinking up a design and when you stamp it it turns out better than you expected? I wanted a lace-effect for the 'blue nails' prompt of the challenge and toyed with doing the pattern in blue, but decided instead to do a base of Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Blue Grape. If you don't have this in your collection - go get it. It's a dream to apply and the colour is lush.

For the pattern I went for Barry M Cotton - a white colour which is spot on for stamping with. I used the Mandala 3 plate from Moyou London - and to date this is still my favourite plate and my favourite collection.

I loved the design so much I also used it in different colours for a friend's wedding and later for Christmas as a snowflake-type design.

What do you think of it?

31DC2015: Green nails

Have you ever painted your nails a colour and when you look back at the photographs it looks nothing like it does in real life? Well this is one prime example. The prompt for day 4 was green nails, but the pic above looks more blue than it did in person.

I used Block Your Green from Rimmel for the base and then topped with Revlon's Hypnotize for the gold colour.

The pattern was using Holy Shapes plate 5 from MoYou London - I was getting a lot of use out of this collection's plates and love the patterns included!

31DC2015: Yellow

Day 3's prompt of the 31 day challenge was yellow nails. I went for Cute as a Kitten Heel from Rimmel, which is a vibrant neon yellow, for the base.

I stamped the pattern from MoYou London's Holy Shapes collection using plate number 11. Unfortunately I was keen to topcoat it and ended up smudging the pattern slightly, but it turned out good overall.
